Space PD grants

AESP sponsors an annual competitive grants program to fund the development and delivery of credit-bearing courses for K-12 teachers on space-related themes.

In December 2008, he National Space Grant Foundation and NASA's Aerospace Education Services Project (AESP) awarded 11 mini-grants ranging from $15,000 - $30,000 to universities and other organizations to develop new courses for K-12 teachers.

The AESP PD grants program funds development of professional development courses to reach across the U.S. using resources already developed by the NASA Education Program as well as a multitude of other space education programs. The goal is to prepare to educate the next generation of scientists and engineers.
