Tony Leavitt is an Aerospace Education Specialist at NASA Ames Research Center and provides professional development and STEM education resource support throughout the 10 states in the Ames region. He has been with the NASA Aerospace Education Services Project since 2002.
Tony earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geology at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, a Bachelor of Science degree in Education at the University of Maine at Farmington and a Masters degree in Applied Science at Oklahoma State University at Stillwater.
Prior to joining the AES Project, Tony taught high school science, physics and mathematics in Maine. He also served as a basketball, soccer and track coach, high school outing club and community service leader. He is a native of Turner, Maine, and now resides in the California San Francisco bay. His loves include planetary geology, astronomy, sports, hiking, biking, kayaking and travel.
