Angelo Casaburri is a graduate of Fresno State College, Fresno, CA, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology. He also is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana, IL, with a Master of Science Degree in Entomology Before becoming an NASA Aerospace Education Specialist, Angelo taught Science and Mathematics in the Peace Corps in Swaziland, Africa. He has also taught Earth Science in California and Physical Science in Texas.
Working at NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX since 1981, Angelo has the opportunity to conduct NASA education programs throughout the United States. Angelo serves as the AESP education liaison for the states of New Mexico, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Angelo is a member of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), and the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA).
Angelo is the author of NASA's Space Food and Nutrition: An Educator's Guide With Activities for Science and Mathematics.
